IPL 2022: RCB, KKR set to add new chapter to iconic rivalry

From the very first match of the IPL, Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders has been an iconic rivalry. From Brendon McCullum’s 158 to RCB getting dismissed for 49, the two teams have played some exciting games.

On Wednesday, RCB and KKR will add a new chapter in their rivalry when the sides meet for the 30th time at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. The latter leads the head-to-head contest 16-13.
On one hand, KKR would want to maintain their winning momentum on the other RCB will be looking to score their first points.

In their first Faf du Plessis’ side failed to defend 205 runs against the Punjab Kings. The skipper made a scintillating 57-ball 88, his predecessor Virat Kohli scored 41 runs but some leaky death overs let them down.
Shreyas Iyer-led KKR humbled defending champions Chennai Super Kings by six wickets.
