The Indian Premier League (IPL) has reached its fag end with Qualifier 1 already done and dusted. Now, only the Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and the Final are left. While Chennai Super Kings have already booked their spot in the final. The fight for the second final berth is among Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders.

While cricket’s biggest domestic T20’s ending makes the fans sad, a video released by Unacademy, an Indian educational technology company, on what the latest season of IPL has taught the aspiring students has become an instant hit on the internet.

Even cricketers approve. Watch the video here.

The video is a montage of players committing mistakes on the field. The clip has a subtle message that says that ‘mistakes are fun and they are allowed’. Those mistakes that we commit set us up for future success.

The user-friendly rap and the correlation between the instances on the field and real-life help the video connect to the students on a personal level.

This is not the first time Unacademy released a song based on IPL. Last year in November, they had released a song about how IPL, though it is only cricket, teaches us about different subjects and emotions that we often study in school or private coaching centers. The ad was ideated by Lowe Lintas and drew a fun correlation between students’ desire to learn and the passionate Cricket action.

The campaign film received over 3 million views across social media.

The IPL was initially played in India with massive COVID-19 protocols put in place. The protocols made the tournament possible and kept the players safe. However, a breach in the bio-bubble prompted the league to be postponed indefinitely. And after a while, the IPL governing council announced that the remainder of the season will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
