AIMPLB general secretary Maulana Wali Rahmani dies, says organisation

Maulana Wali Rahmani, general secretary of All India Muslim Personal Law Board, died on Saturday, the organisation said on Twitter. “Gen. Sec. Maulana Wali Rahmani sahab RA has expired,” the AIMPLB tweeted.

“It is an irreparable loss for the entire Muslim Ummah,” it said and appealed to to all Muslims for “prayers and patience.”

In an earlier tweet, the organisation had appealed the Muslims for “SPECIAL PRAYERS.” Rahmani was admitted to the ICU last week and his condition hadn’t improved.
