Fern was only 13 years old when her father gave her an Easter egg from a local shop. The 9-inch chocolate egg was adorned with daffodil-shaped yellow icing.
Incredibly, it is still in mint condition even after 62 years.
Despite being a self-confessed chocoholic, Hillion said she decided not to eat the sweet treat. To keep the egg from melting, she spends £80-a-month (Rs 8,000) on a cool storage container to keep the egg from.

Hillion, who is a retired wildlife trust worker, has two children, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. All of them have seen her Easter egg.
I still remember the day I was given it. It was simply too pretty that I didn’t want to eat it. I thought to myself, ‘I’ll keep it until Whitsun’ but I then never ate it, so then I thought, ‘Oh, I will keep it until Christmas’ and then Christmas came and went,” said the 75-year-old.
