Watch: Cricket icon Irfan Pathan welcomes a baby boy to the family

Indian cricket icon Irfan Pathan recently took to Twitter to announce the birth of his second child. The 37-year-old former cricketer also shared that both the baby and the mother, Safa Baig, are healthy and doing well.

In the post, Irfan can be seen holding his baby boy, named  Suleiman Khan. The former cricketer is sporting an all-white ensemble and a bright smile on his face.

Posted just a couple of hours ago, the picture has already amassed 34,000 likes. More than 1,000 people have sent their blessings and wishes in the comments.

Irfan and Safa have another son,  Imran Khan Pathan. Born on December 20, 2016, five-year-old Imran has often made the rounds on the internet through his father’s social media profiles. He often features in short Instagram reels with his father, and this father-son duo has amassed millions of views through their fun videos.

The cricketer tied the knot with Safa Baig, a fashion model from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The duo were married on February 4, 2016, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. According to reports, Safa has worked with PR firms and is a well-known nail artist.

Quite recently, Pathan was titled the new ambassador of Mohammedan Sporting SC, a popular Indian football club. Other than his football ventures, Pathan has been analysing various matches played by the Indian cricket team.

Irfan Pathan is known to be one of the greatest Indian pace bowlers and all-rounders. The icon retired just two years ago, with an impressive record of 29 Tests, 120 ODIs and 24 T20Is. He was last seen in an international cricket match back in 2012, but continued to play cricket domestically.

His brother, Yusuf Pathan is also a popular former Indian cricketer. The duo has been a part of various cricket matches over the years and have worked in powerful partnerships on field.
