A day after Red Fort was breached by farmers protesting against new laws, a video showing broken glasses, strewn pieces of paper, police caps and a vandalised ticket counter
was released by news agency ANI.
The tractor march that started from Delhi’s borders soon plunged into chaos with several protestors clashing with police at ITO, Nangloi and other areas. Protesters climbed up the ramparts of the Fort and unfurled
flags – including Sikh religious flag ‘Nishan Saahib’.
According to Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu, who is accused of putting up the religious flag at Red Fort, the hoisting of the flag symbolised protest.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced
on Wednesday that it was keeping both entry and exit gates closed for the Lal Quila
(Red Fort) Metro Station.
Several clashes took place between Delhi Police and
protesting farmers, with 22 FIRs being registered by the former on Wednesday,
including one against a protestor who died during the demonstrations on
Tuesday.

The Sanyukt Kisan Morcha said that anti-social elements
had infiltrated the otherwise peaceful movement and held them accountable for
the degradation of the law-and-order situation.
