Goa’s Dudhsagar waterfall is a sight to catch during rains. Recently a train passing near the falls was stopped due to incessant showers and low visibility. Now, a video of that train passing through the Dudhsagar waterfalls was released by the Ministry of Railways and Prasar Bharti. It was widely shared on social media.

Watch the video here.

In the video, the train can be seen coming to a halt near the Dudhsagar waterfall when a large volume of water was falling in the Mandovi river. The increased flow of the Dudhsagar falls is also clearly visible in the clip. During heavy rain in monsoon in western India, the Dudhsagar falls become visible from the nearby rail line that connects Goa with Bengaluru.

It is hard to decide if the video is scary or mesmerizing as it appears train is coming out from a blanket of heavenly white clouds.

Dudhsagar Falls is a famous waterfall located on the Mandovi River in Goa. It is about 60 km from Panaji by road and is located on the Belgaum–Vasco da Gama rail route about 46 km east of Madgaon and 80 km south of Belagavi.

Dudhsagar, which is 310 metres high with an average width of 30 metres, is one of the tallest waterfalls of India.

Meanwhile, Western India, especially Maharashtra and Goa, is hit by heavy rains that led to flash floods. Cloudbursts have also been reported in various parts of the country.

Traffic on the South Western Railway (SWR) route has been affected due to rains and recently, two landslides occurred on the Goa-Karnataka border beside the derailment of a train in the section, PTI reported.

A bridge on the Vaitarna river in Maharashtra’s Thane district has got washed away due to heavy rains, disrupting traffic between Wada and Sahapur talukas, government officials said on Thursday.
