The Season of Mischief begins on September 1, immediately following the Ultra Unlock 2021: Sword & Shield event. It not only brings new Research, spawning, and Hoopa‘s long-awaited appearance, but it also brings back Lugia.

That’s right, the popular Psychic/Flying-type will be available in five-star raids for a limited time with the Aeroblast move. Here’s everything you need to know about defeating it, including its vulnerabilities, counters, moveset, and more.

Lugia is a Psychic/Flying-type Pokemon and is known as the Diving Pokemon. It was originally found in the Johto region and was introduced in Generation II. Lugia is weak against Dark, Ice, Rock, Electric, and Ghost-type pokemon and strong against Grass, Psychic, Fighting, and Ground-type pokemon.

Lugia can only be obtained through five-star raids in Pokemon Go. You must fight the Legendary and then catch it using the limited number of Premier Balls granted to you based on how well you performed in the raid; if you fail, try again.

Lugia will be accessible beginning September 1 at 10 a.m. local time and ending September 14 at 10 a.m. local time.

Once captured, the Johto ‘mon will have already learned the Aeroblast Flying move, which is effective against Fighting, Bug, and Grass types.

Shiny Lugia in Pokemon Go:

Players, rejoice: Shiny Lugia has arrived in Pokemon Go. The only method to obtain it is to take part in five-star raids, where you have a small chance of getting the rare variation.

If you beat a Legendary ‘mon but it isn’t Shiny, you’ll have to fight another until you find one. Best wishes!
