Not just Dostana 2, Kartik Aaryan is out of Karan Johar’s other films too

Actor Kartik Aaryan has reportedly been fired from ‘Dostana 2’ by Karan Johar’s production house Dharma Productions due to his “unprofessional behaviour”. The actor will now be replaced by another actor in the sequel to their 2008 hit film.

It’s not just ‘Dostana 2’, the actor is not from another film.

 “Kartik was to collaborate with Karan on a new film, a cricket story, to be helmed by Gunjan Saxena director, Sharan Sharma. However, even that film has gone on the back burner, and they will approach a new actor soon,” said a media report by Pinkvilla.

‘Dostana 2’ , also starring Janhvi Kapoor and debutant Lakshya was helmed by Collin D Cunha, and went on floors by the end of 2019. The shoot of the film was halted in March 2020 owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Though neither the production house nor the actor has come up with an official statement, it is said that the makers were taken aback by the constant delays caused by the actor.

“He committed to complete the film multiple times over the last few months but backed out at the last-minute citing one or the other reason. The sudden cancellation of shoot from his end resulted in the date diary of everyone else from the cast of Dostana going haywire,” the source revealed.

It is also said that even Janhvi was losing out on a film because of his date problems.

Meanwhile, Kartik’s next is ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ along with the remake of Allu Arjun starrer ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ with Ekta Kapoor.
