The Union Health Ministry on Friday said that active COVID-19 cases in India are witnessing a steady dip with less than two lakh cases being reported daily since May 28. The recovery rate stands at 93.1%. However, taking one’s guard down after recovering would not be a wise step.

For all those people who have recovered from COVID-19 infections, it is very important to follow a healthy lifestyle. Dizziness, headache and fatigue are common symptoms of COVID-19. Patients with mild symptoms generally take around two weeks to recover, while those with moderate and severe infection take around four weeks. But even after recovery people have complained of weakness.

Here are some tips for people to follow after recovering from COVID-19:

Regular exercise

Physical exercise sounds really difficult when a person is recovering from COVID-19. They are dealing with dizziness, headache and fatigue but exercising regularly will make you both physically and mentally healthy.

Have a Healthy diet

Another very important tip during recovering from COVID-19 is to have a healthy diet. Add a variety of fruits and vegetables in your diet. Green vegetables and fruits rich in minerals and vitamins will boost your power and will give you energy.

Don’t put pressure on yourself

First of all don’t just go back to your normal life. A person might have tested negative but keep in mind that some problems might persist even after a negative report. Going with the flow and giving your mind and body time to heal is the best step.

Try and Stay Positive

Always keep in mind that you are a warrior, you have defeated COVID-19. But there will come a time you will be depressed and anxious in that scenario, meditate, take care of your mental health and try to stay positive.

Work on your brain

When a person is affected by COVID-19, the virus damages a lot of memory cells, so put your brain at work and do some brain exercise. Try to solve puzzles, play word games, memory games, challenge yourself. This will help in speedy recovery and you can easily go back to your normal life.
