A lady gave birth aboard an aircraft while travelling from Ghana to the United States. According to accounts, the mother gave birth to a newborn boy at 30,000 feet in the air on January 29 during an 11-hour transatlantic United Airlines trip.

Dr Stephen Ansah-Addo, who now works in the United States, was accompanied on the aircraft by a former nurse-turned-flight attendant, as well as another nurse.
They changed the plane’s business class section into a maternity unit and assisted the mother in giving birth to a preterm baby, who is claimed to be in good health. The infant was given the name GG by the mother.
Dr Addo was quoted by the media in response to the news: “I couldn’t believe it was real. But I was trying hard not to panic.”
“Myself, a nurse, and the flight attendants… guided [the woman] through the procedure, and she delivered a lovely baby boy,” the doctor explained.

After the flight landed at Dulles International Airport in Washington DC, United Airlines said in a statement that the delivery was uncomplicated and that the woman who gave birth and the newborn boy was attended to by paramedics. They were then transported to a nearby hospital.
