Caught on camera: Delhi cop dragged on car bonnet by traffic violater

In a video that has surfaced on social media, a Traffic cop, who tried to stop a speeding car, was seen being dragged on the bonnet of the car for a few metres in Dhaula Kuan area of Delhi. The incident took place on Monday, October 12.
The car driver had violated the traffic rules and was driving rashly. In an attempt to stop the driver for prosecution, the policeman flagged down the car and finally jumped onto the bonnet when the driver did not stop. CCTV footage shows the cop hanging on to the bonnet and being dragged for a few metres.
The policeman finally fell off and received minor injuries as he clambered to the side of the road. The cop was lucky to escape serious injuries as the incident took place amid heavy traffic.
The car driver, identified as Shubham of Uttam Nagar in southwest Delhi, was arrested after a chase. In an FIR lodged against him, Shubham was charged with obstructing, hurting, and wrongful driving.
