Weeks after appearing naked, Canadian MP caught urinating on camera

A month after appearing naked during a video conference, Canadian politician William Amos was caught on camera urinating during virtual parliamentary proceedings on Wednesday. He has now posted an apology regarding the incident on his Twitter handle.

“I urinated without realising I was on camera,” he said in a statement. “While accidental and not visible to the public, this was completely unacceptable, and I apologize unreservedly.”

Amos, a federal Member of Parliament (MP) for Pontiac, Quebec for Canada’s governing Liberal party, was spotted naked during a parliamentary video call on April 14. The screenshot of him being undressed was then circulated on social media.

The 46-year-old politician apologised during that time saying that the “really unfortunate mistake” occurred as he changed into work clothes after a jog.

However, Wednesday’s incident made him step down from his responsibilities temporarily.

“I will be stepping aside temporarily from my role as Parliamentary Secretary and from my committee duties so that I can seek assistance,” Amos said, adding that he would continue to serve as an MP.
