Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown is facing a warrant on a battery charge stemming from a domestic incident, Tampa police said Thursday. The 34-year-old, as per ABC, locked himself at home during a standoff with authorities.

Tampa Police tried to get him out with the help of a megaphone. Officers were heard yelling ‘we’re not going anywhere’ to Brown, according to Tampa’s ABC affiliate.

Brown, who is a free agent currently, is accused of threatening to shoot a woman. The woman has been identified in multiple reports as his ex-fiancee and mother of four of his children – Chelsie Kyriss.

Police spokeswoman Merissa Lynn also said he was “not communicating with officers, so it’s unclear if he’s still inside the home or not.”

Police, in a statement, said that Brown got into a verbal argument that turned physical at a home in South Tampa on Monday. He allegedly threw a show at a woman. The 34-year-old is also accused of throwing her possessions out onto the street as he attempted to evict her.

Brown, last year, tossed his equipment into the stands and left a game mid-way. His contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was terminated. The WR had said he was pressured to play injured, but then-Tampa Bay coach Bruce Arians said Brown was upset about not getting the ball enough.

In the 2021 season, he served a three-game suspension for misrepresenting his COVID-19 vaccination status.
