The Seattle Seahawks are being slammed on social media for apparently misspelling late NBA legend Kobe Bryant’s name in a tweet. The team plays Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas eve at the Arrowhead Stadium. However, it was later revealed that the Seahawks were talking about their cornerback Coby Bryant who had worn Mamba cleats for the match.
“Y’all disrespectful asl fa spelling Kobe name like that,” a Twitter user said.
“Take this post down, Disrespectful to misspell one of/ if not the greatest Basketball players of all time, Kobe Bryant!” another one added.

“Youre wrong for one its Kobe*, and second, the player wearing the cleats is named Coby Bryant,” a third one tweeted.
Later once user pointed out on Twitter that fans criticising the Seahawks were actually in the wrong: “Youre wrong for one its Kobe*, and second, the player wearing the cleats is named Coby Bryant”

Another fan said, “I don’t know if you’re trolling or not but the player for the Seahawks is named Coby Bryant.”
Bryant, the LA Lakers legend, is widely considered among the greatest basketball players of all time alongside Michael Jordan and LeBron James.
The Lakers won the NBA Championship on five separate occasions with Bryant in their team. The 6 ft 6 inches shooting guard found himself on the NBA All Star team in 18 different seasons, making him second only to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Bryant, along with his daughter Gianna and some of their friends, died on January 26, 2020, in a helicopter crash. The legendary athlete was 41 years old at that time.
