India great Mithali Raj, on Friday, became the first Indian woman cricketer to cross the 10,000-run mark in international cricket. She achieved the feat during India woman’s third ODI match against South Africa in Lucknow.

Mithali, who made her debut in 1999, has a career spanning over two decades in international cricketer.

With an average of 46.73, the right-handed batter has shown that age is just a number as she continues to impeccable cricket. In Tests, she has 663 runs to her name, average of 51.00. In ODIs, she has 6974* runs, average 50.53. And in T20Is, 2364 runs, average of 37.52.

However, after reaching the milestone, Mithali departed in the next ball, flicking a Bosch delivery straight to Mignon du Preez at midwicket.

She made 36 runs off 50 balls and hit five boundaries in the middle.

The 38-year-old Mithali, who leads the Indian ODI team, joins England’s Charlotte Edwards in the elite club.
