Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans will lock horns on Sunday in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 final at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
While GT reigned over the top spot of the league’s points table, RR followed right behind, occupying the second spot.
The fixture will mark GT‘s first final in their maiden IPL season, and the second final for RR, who last won in the inaugural season of 2008.
In this year’s edition, the teams have clashed twice, with the Titans emerging victorious in both the matches.

1. Jos Buttler vs Mohammed Shami
31-year-old Buttler has been one of the key reasons behind Rajasthan Royal’s performance in the tournament this year. In Qualifier 1, Buttler scored 89 runs against GT. To contain the Taunton-born Englishman, GT will have to step up and bring forward their lead wicket-taker, Mohammed Shami. This battle could end up deciding which team takes home the lustrous trophy.

2. Yuzvendra Chahal vs Hardik Pandya
31-year-old Yuzvendra Chahal will face off Hardik Pandya, the core of the Titans. With a record of 26 scalps this season, Chahal will need to put up a tough fight to make the opposition skipper bite the dust.
3. Shubman Gill vs Trent Boult
While Punjab-born Shubman Gill has performed well throughout the season, he will be up against Trent Boult, the New Zealander who has often been used up front in the Powerplay, holding the key responsibility to get wickets early on in the matches.
