The Kansas City Chiefs vs Jacksonville Jaguars divisional playoff game at Arrowhead Stadium is experiencing heavy snowfall on Saturday. Weather forecast shows the city might also get some rain during the match.

The Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City doesn’t have a roof. Fans and players and will not be sheltered from the cold temperatures or wintry precipitation. While the seats fill fast, both teams will have to revise their plans according to the weather conditions.

While snow does not usually affect the game much, wet conditions could result in fewer passing touchdowns. For Kansas, quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been relying heavily on his wide receivers, especially JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kadarius Toney and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, to take his team through. Tight end Travis Kelce has also taken some key passes to the end zone this year.

If it rains heavily, all WRs and the tight end are expected to take a hit. 

The Jacksonville Jaguars have seen a balanced WR and running back produce. Christian Kirk, Zay Jones and Marvin Jones have been leading receptions and for them while Travis Etienne Jr and Hasty have made some key runs.

There is a 70% chance of rain on Saturday afternoon that falls down to a 60% chance of rain and snow in the evening, according to the National Weather Service. The temperature in Kansas City will be 38 during the day, with the low dropping to 30 degrees in the evening. A modest amount of wind is expected between 5 to 10 mph.
