Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett suffered a leg injury in Week 4 after taking a hard hit from Houston Texans defensive Jonathan Greenard.

Pickett was sacked on a crucial 4th and 1 play in the third quarter but continued to play despite the hard hit. Pickett was immediately attended to by medical personnel, and with their help, he was able to stand and move to the sideline. In contrast, he was unable to fully bear weight on his left leg as he made his way to the medical tent for more assessment.

Due to a knee injury, Kenny Pickett has been declared officially out for the remainder of the game. The Steelers will rely on backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky in his absence; he started the team’s first four games of the previous season. In case both Trubisky and Pickett are unable to continue, Mason Rudolph is also dressed and ready to play.

Kenny Pickett is a renowned football quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL. During his senior year, Pickett’s outstanding performance won him the prestigious Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. The Steelers noticed his outstanding performance on the field and selected him in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

He left the university as the all-time leader in significant categories including throwing yards (12,303), pass completions (1,045), total offense (13,112), TD responsibility (102), and passing touchdowns (81).

In Week 4 of the 2022 campaign, Pickett was named the Steelers’ starting quarterback. His first game was nothing short of historic, as he became the first quarterback to secure multiple rushing touchdowns since the 1970 merger. Pickett accumulated 2,404 throwing yards during his first season, along with 17 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.
