Indianapolis Colts defeated the Denver Broncos 12-9 in overtime at the Empower Field at Mile High on Thursday. No team scored a touchdown in the low-scoring game and an error by quarterback Russell Wilson handed the visitors their second win of the season. 

Quarterbacks of both teams – Russell Wilson and Matt Ryan – struggled on Thursday. The two combined to account for no touchdown, four interceptions, three fumbles and 10 sacks.

Wilson was 21 for 39 for 274 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions. Spectators booed the 33-year-old throughout the game, and social media users trolled him for his flop show. 

“Russell Wilson makes Mitch Trubisky look like an elite QB,” a Twitter user said. 

“Mad that Russell Wilson has been holding the #seahawks back for all these years 😂,” another one added.

“I rthought that Russell Wilson might be the difference between Denver sucking big time and Denver winning football games but holy fuck he is no Peyton Manning. Somewhere Manning is laughing his ass off at this disgrace of an NFL team,” a third one tweeted.

Indianapolis quarterback Matt Ryan also put up a flop show on Thursday. The 37-year-old threw for 251 yards, completed 26 of 41 passes in a no-touchdown game. He had two interceptions and fumbled twice.

“The way the Colts beat writers talked about Matt Ryan in training camp needs to be investigated by the FBI,” a Twitter user said. 

“I’ve been telling everyone Matt Ryan leads the league in sacks where he looks like he’s about to die. Elder Abuse,” another one added. 

The Colts host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, October 16, and the Broncos visit the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night, October 17.
