The extravagant celebrations did draw the attention of fans with one user commented, saying “Derek Carr to Ameer Abdullah for a 18-yard touchdown. Abdullah does a roundhouse kick celebration. Good response by the Raiders”.

The kick by Ameer Abdullah was reminiscent of the shots in the martial arts’ oriented video game, Tekken. Tekken is a Japanese media company that produces fighting as well as arcade games. It has been around since 1994. The game features numerous characters centering around the King of Iron fist tournament. While the first version of Tekken was released in 1994, its success prompted the company to have subsequent installments, numbering up to 7 and a 8th bound for release in 2023.
