Ashwin, Jadeja included in India’s 15-man squad for WTC final
- Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Hanuma Vihari were included the 15-man squad
- Shardul Thakur, Mayank Agarwal, Washington Sundar did not make the cut
- The World Test Championship starts on June 18
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday announced India’s 15-member squad for the upcoming World Test Championship final against New Zealand. India’s spin-allrounder duo Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja were included in the squad, while paceman Shardul Thakur was among those left out.
Umesh, along with Mohammed Shami, and Hanuma Vihari all of whom got injured during the Australia tour, were back in the 15 that needed to be announced as per ICC squad protocol.
Apart from Shardul, the notable names to miss out were Mayank Agarwal, and Washington Sundar, who were in the playing XI for the Test match against Australia.
England series hero Axar Patel also missed out.
