Referee Shawn Hochuli and his crew, officiating the Green Bay Packers vs Los Angeles Rams Monday Night Football game, were trolled for a false start call. The two sides locked horns at the Lambeau Field.

Hochuli was quick to call false start on Rams’ Ty Nsekhe and Coleman Shelton in the first quarter, on different instances. The team was penalised five yards.

However, several social media users pointed out that the player was called for ‘moving his head without an immediate snap’. He did the same thing in the very next play and was not called.

“Referees call a false start on the Rams for the center moving his head without an immediate snap..  The very next play, the center does the exact same thing. No false start. Wait what? @NFL,” a reporter for Benzinga who goes by aj_whoWrites on Twitter said.

“Referees are doubling down on bad calls from the weekend!” another Twitter user added.

“Typical officiating nonsense. Referees should be held to account in public,” a third one said.

LA Rams tied with Green Bay at 3-3 before Packers’ running back AJ Dillon scored the first touchdown of the game.

Watkins had 13 receptions for 206 yards and no touchdowns in his lone season with the Packers. He hadn’t caught a single pass since Nov. 13, when he had three receptions for 47 yards in a 31-28 overtime victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

Green Bay also signed running back Patrick Taylor to the active roster from their practice squad on Monday.
