San Francisco 49ers vs New York Giants weather forecast: Will rain and wildfire smoke affect play at Levi’s Stadium?
The Week 3 of the NFL season will begin with a game between the 2-0 San Francisco 49ers and the 1-1 New York Giants on Thursday Night Football. Both sides are coming off recent victories and will have less time to prepare.
Despite a relatively calm fire season in California compared to the previous ten years, wildfire smoke is still present in several parts of the state. This applies to the San Francisco Bay Area, which includes Santa Clara, where the game will be played at Levi’s Stadium on Thursday night.

Weather report-
The week three Giants vs. 49ers game looks to have favorable weather. As per reports, the match expects no precipitation, warm temperatures, and light winds. This is encouraging for those who wager on sports and DFS (Daily Fantasy Sports) players because it means that player performances shouldn’t be affected by weather conditions when the game begins.

There is currently smoke in the San Francisco Bay Area as a result of wildfires in both Northern California and Oregon. In California, large tracts of land have burnt as a result of significant fires like the Smith River Complex Fire. Fires like the Flat, Anvil, and Lookout fires are still raging along the Oregon border.
The San Francisco Bay Area’s southern and eastern counties have some of the worst air quality in the country. The AirNow sensor next to Levi’s Stadium reportedly registered an AQI of 111 on Wednesday afternoon. An AQI of 148 was recorded by less expensive sensors in the stadium’s parking areas.

However, it is expected that the smoky conditions would last through Thursday and into Friday early. Given that the start is set for 8:15 p.m. ET, it is very likely that the 49ers and Giants will play in a smoke-filled stadium.
