Most 90s kids have watched and loved World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). The popularity of the show has soared over the years making WWE one of the biggest wrestling entertainment shows.

WWE has seen wrestlers from many cultures and ethnicities and some of the Indians have made a huge impact.

The Great Khali

The Great Khali was the first Indian professional wrestler to be signed by WWE in 2006. Not only his nationality but his height is also unique. He measures 2.16 meters and had been recently introduced in the WWE hall of fame.

Jinder Mahal

Jinder Mahal is a Canadian professional wrestler but says that he has Punjab in his blood. He was signed to WWE in 2010. He returned to WWE in 2016 and captured the WWE Championship from Randy Orton and became the 50th WWE Champion and the first of Indian descent.

The Singh Brothers

The Singh Brothers (formerly known as The Bollywood Boyz) are a professional wrestling tag team consisting of brothers Sunil Singh and Samir Singh. On June 13, 2016, Gurv and Harv were announced as participants in WWE’s Cruiserweight Classic tournament.

Mahabali Shera

Amanpreet Singh Randhawa, formally known as Mahabali Shera, is an Indian professional wrestler. In 2011, Mahabali Shera took part in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling’s India project, Ring Ka King that put him on the map in Wrestling. Shera signed a contract with WWE in February 2018.

Kavita Devi

Kavita Devi is a South Asian Games gold medallist in 2016 and in 2018. She performs on their developmental territory NXT. Devi is the first female professional wrestler of Indian nationality to wrestle in WWE.

Devi previously wrestled on the independent circuit under the ring names Kavita and Hard KD.
