The Minnesota Vikings travelled to play against the Miami Dolphins in Week 6 of the 2022 NFL season on Sunday. Ahead of the game, Vikings cornerback Cam Dantzler was seen making a supporting gesture for his teammate Lewis Cine, who suffered a horrific injury against the New Orleans Saints that ruled him out of the season.

Minnesota Vikings safety Lewis Cine, 23, broke his tibia, fibula and ankle in the injury and had to undergo two surgeries in London after suffering the injury. The rookie is currently recuperating from the horrific injury and the gesture by Cam Dantzler will certainly come as a positive for the first-round pick.

23-year-old Lewis Cine was touted to be one of the brightest talents in the league when he was drafted in the first round of the 2022 draft by the Minnesota Vikings. However, his season-ending injury against the New Orleans Saints in the 2022 International Game left him with a broken tibia, fibula and ankle. His injury came during a punt by the Vikings when the rookie was blocking a Saints’ player.

Following the pair of surgeries in London, Cine reportedly travelled to Minnesota on a medical plane.

“Things have been wild, but everything from surgery to my mental [health] is going well. I will get better from this and use it as fuel,” the Vikings safety told the Boston Globe after undergoing two surgeries.
