Greg Roman, the most recent offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL, announced on Thursday that he is leaving the Ravens to “pursue other opportunities.”
The 50-year-old had his first stint with the Ravens in 2006 when he joined as an assistant offensive line coach. After a brief stint in high school football followed by stints with the San Francisco 49ers and the Buffalo Bills, he rejoined the Ravens as the senior offensive assistant and the tight end coach.

The franchise shared a statement on social media announcing the departure of the 50-year-old.
“Greg has led the development and success of a record-breaking offensive in Baltimore for several seasons, the club said.
“He is a tremendous football coach, as well as family man and person. Greg devised and led our offense to no fewer than 26 historical NFL and franchise achievements. He established an identity for our offense.”

Who is Greg Roman?
Roman was raised in the nearby town of Ventnor after being born on August 19, 1972, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Before the Baltimore Ravens, he worked as assistant coach with the Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans and Carolina Panthers.
