Collierville shooting: Patient kills health worker at Campbell Clinic
A shooting incident occurred at the Campbell Clinic on Poplar Avenue in Collierville on Tuesday afternoon. The shooting claimed the life of one individual. Police officials have detained one person in the case.

According to eyewitness sources, the incident occurred inside the clinic. A patient had been threatening someone at the clinic for the last week, according to a witness who was on the premises.
The patient allegedly entered the clinic on Tuesday while carrying a gun, then shot and critically wounded another person.
Collierville Police have disclosed further details regarding the incident at the Campbell Clinic in which a healthcare worker was fatally shot. According to the police authorities, the shooter was identified as a patient, and the victim was a healthcare worker.

The shooting took place inside an exam room, resulting in the tragic loss of life. Police have clarified that only two individuals were directly involved in the shooting. Following the incident, the suspect was swiftly arrested outside the clinic, just five minutes after the shooting occurred. As of now, the suspect and victim both have not been identified. The investigation into the case is still on.
Police Chief Dale Lane praised the clinic attendees and the police for their quick response and attention to active shooter training. He emphasized that the suspect was captured without more casualties after the incident in about five minutes.
Chief Lane acknowledged his delight in the ability of the clinic personnel and other participants to apply the skills learned during active shooting training in such a difficult and risky circumstance.

Police officers conducted multiple searches both inside and outside the building to ensure the area’s safety and security. Drones were used throughout these searches to conduct in-depth environment inspections. Police Chief Lane underlined the significance of taking these extensive precautions to ensure that there were no other interactions or threats present.
