A radical transgender activist group asserted that an “avalanche” of anti-trans laws and attitudes led the Nashville school gunman to kill six people. The transgender gunman in Nashville, according to the group, thought that there was no other effective way to be noticed than by killing people at the private Presbyterian school.

After transgender Audrey Hale shot and killed three 9-year-olds and three adults at Nashville’s Covenant School on Monday, a far-left transgender organization, the Trans Resistance Network (TRN), issued an offensive statement.
The group described the mass murder as a double “tragedy,” writing that the first was the murders of the children and adults within the school. They also expressed their sincere condolences and prayers to the families who had lost loved ones. Apparently, the second tragedy was directed toward Audrey Hale’s death.
“There is nothing we can offer that will comfort the hurt, or ease the sorrow,” TRN wrote. “We mourn with you. The second and more complex tragedy is that Aiden or Audrey Hale, who felt [she] had no other effective way to be seen than to lash out by taking the life of others, and by consequence, [herself],” they continued.
What is the Trans Resistance Network?
TRN describes itself as a group of professional organizers, devoted supporters, and concerned organizations working together for the long-term survival and well-being of gender-diverse people in an increasingly challenging setting.
“The Trans Resistance Network (TRN) was formed to ensure the survival of gender diverse people and families through strategic coordination of community defense, mutual-aid, and alternative systems of gender-affirming care,” the website reads.
“We prioritize support for gender diverse children and families who are facing imminent danger, and gender diverse people who are Indigenous, Black, and Brown. Trans rights are human rights!” it continues.
