James David Vance or JD Vance. The Trump rally will take place in Youngstown,
Ohio. As Trump supporters gather in Youngstown, there is speculation among many
of them whether they will learn more about their ‘favourite president’s’ plans
about a second presidential run.
Who is JD Vance?
James David Vance was born James David Bowman on
August 2, 1984 in Middletown, Ohio. His parents divorced when Vance was only a
toddler. It was his mother’s third husband who adopted him. Vance and his sister
were primarily raised by their grandparents.

JD Vance did his schooling from Middletown High School.
After graduating, he joined the US Marine Corps and served in the Iraq War.
Vance later finished his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and
philosophy from Ohio State University and then went on to earn a juris doctor
from Yale Law School.
James David Vance’s book titled Hillbilly Elegy: A
Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis became extremely popular. It featured
on the New York Times Bestseller List in 2016 and was the finalist in the Dayton
Literary Peace Prize.
The New York Times had called Vance’s book “one of
the six best books to help understand Trump’s win.” Washington Post referred to
him as the “voice of the rust belt.”

A populist conservative, Vance decided to run for
office in 2018. He is backed by the venture capitalist Peter Thiel. JD Vance
will be going up against Democratic Representative Tim Ryan. Currently, Vance
holds a four-point lead over Ryan, according to The Hill.

Vance is strictly anti-abortion. When a leaked document said the US Supreme
Court would be overturning Roe v. Wade, Vance was quoted saying: “would be an
amazing victory if true.”
