Who is Verity Beck? Pennsylvania woman allegedly shot parents in head, dismembered bodies with chainsaw

Verity Beck shot her parents in the head before using a chainsaw to cut up their bodies and partially dump the pieces into trash cans.

After not speaking to his parents since January 7, the couple’s son, Justin Beck, drove passed their home on Tuesday night. Later that evening, he went back and discovered his sister Verity Beck, who also resided there, and his father’s death. The lights had been turned out.

Reid Beck, 73, and Miriam Beck, 72, were found dead and rotting when police arrived later that night on Tuesday. Police found a pillow that had been shot at, which most likely meant it had been placed across the parents’ faces before they were murdered up close and mercilessly dismembered.

Who is Verity Beck?

Born in 1974, Verity Beck is a Pennsylvanian woman charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of third-degree murder, and other offences in connection with the death of her parents Reid Beck, 73, and Miriam Beck, 72.

She shared a house with her parents on the 1100 block of Beverly Road in Abington Township, Pennsylvania. The house is located in the Jenkintown neighbourhood.

Verity’s brother Justin Beck was the one who discovered the parents body. 

Justin returned to his parent’s house and entered the property one night. According to the criminal complaint, he discovered a body on the floor covered by a bloodstained sheet in a downstairs bedroom. He assumed the feet poking through the blanket belonged to his father. According to investigators, Justin then summoned Verity, who met him in the living room.

According to the criminal complaint, Verity told her brother that things at her house had ‘been bad’ during a half-hour conversation. When her brother suggested calling the police, Verity responded that she needed more time,’ according to investigators.
