Jason Kelce, Philadelphia Eagles center, did not snap the ball to quarterback Jalen Hurts on a fourth down attempt in the first quarter of their Sunday Night Game against the Green Bay Packers

A slow-motion of the game video showed and several social media users said that Kelce might have held on to the ball on purpose as he tried for the first down himself with an illegal snap.

“Can you hear it on TV? I was thinking something was off with Semaluo leaving a tad early, Kelce holding the snap, Hurts not taking the snap. The cadence being called out would make sense,” a Twitter user said.

“Jason Kelce clearly tried to carry that for the first down himself with an illegal snap. That was ON PURPOSE. You don’t do that on accident,” another one added.

“See refs are missing a lot tonight. Jason Kelce just made the entire backfield false start and nothing was called. Illegal snap,” a third one added.

In a new episode with Hurts as a guest on his Podcast, ‘New Heights’, Kelce revealed that he frequently asks him if he snapped the ball correctly, but the quarterback stated that he has no problem adjusting to how the ball comes to him — even if it means getting a little lower.

The Eagles lead 27-20 at the end of the first half.

The Eagles have found a way to remain almost unbeaten this season. Their only loss came against division rivals Washington Commanders in Week 9. The team has secured big wins against the likes of the Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals.

Team’s QB Jalen Hurts is one of the leading candidates for NFL MVP award. He has passed for 15 TDs while being the league leader for quarterbacks having the most rushing touchdowns with eight. He has also thrown three interceptions so far.
