Jessica Robb, a reporter for CTV News, appeared to experience a medical emergency while covering a live news story.

The journalist appeared to experience medical problems while conducting fieldwork for the Canadian news outlet before the cameras cut back to the studio.

Who is Jessica Robb? 

Jessica Robb was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta.  She graduated from MacEwan University with a BA in Communications and Journalism.

She completed the course between 2015 and 2019, making her age to be in mid-20s. In June 2019, she started working at Global News as an editorial assistant after graduating from college. Two years later, at the same organisation, she was given a promotion to video journalist.

Her CTV news bio page states that she “is thrilled to be back” in Edmonton “telling the stories that live in the heart of the city” she calls her own home.

“Outside of work, Jessica is an avid runner, long-time soccer player, and rookie guitar player,” her bio adds. “She will stop to pet every dog and never says no to an oat milk latte.”

Robb describes herself as a multimedia journalist who is chasing stories around Edmonton on her Twitter profile, which is now set to private.

The CTV News reporter caused anxiety on social media on Sunday (January 8, 2023) when she looked to experience medical problems during a live transmission.

According to videos posted on Twitter, Robb was reporting live from the scene when she began to slur words and repeat parts of them.

“Sorry Nahreman. I’m, I’m, I’m not feeling very well right now, and I’m about to just,” Robb said in front of the camera.

The television anchor stated that the crew on location will ensure Jessica receives the assistance she requires after becoming visibly distressed. The cameras then cut back to the newsroom to the anchor.

“Okay, we’ll come back to you and we’ll make sure that Jessica, you are doing okay,” the news anchor in the studio said.

Following the live broadcast, the news station praised viewers at home for getting in touch to ask about Jessica’s status in a tweet.

According to the TV station, Jessica is now recuperating after the medical emergency and is “feeling better.”
