World Record: Oldest man on the planet shares secret to a long healthy life

At 112 years old, Juan Vicente Pérez of Venezuela has been named the world’s oldest living man by Guinness World Records. He is only a few days away from turning 113.

Juan was named the world’s oldest living man after Spain‘s Saturnino de la Fuente Garcia died on January 18, 2022, at the age of 112 years and 341 days.

Juan’s secret to living a long life is to “work hard, rest on holidays, go to bed early, drink a glass of aguardiente every day, love God, and always carry him in your heart.”

As part of his daily routine, he prays at least twice a day.

Juan is in good health and does not have any diseases that necessitate medical attention.

Juan was born on May 27, 1909, in El Cobre, Táchira, Venezuela. Eutiquio del Rosario Pérez Mora and Edelmira Mora raised him as the ninth of ten children. In 1937, Juan married Ediofina del Rosario Garca. Garca passed away in 1997.

He has 11 kids, 41 grandkids, 18 great-grandkids, and 12 great-great-grandkids.

In 1914, his family relocated to Los Pajuiles, a village in San José de Bolivar. At the age of five, he began working in agriculture with his father and brothers, assisting with sugar cane and coffee harvesting.

He went on to become a sheriff in Caricuena in 1948, where he was in charge of resolving land and family disputes for ten years while continuing to work in agriculture.

Aside from agriculture, one of Juan’s main interests is cultivating a strong relationship with God and his family. He is thankful for his life, as well as the food and people in his life.

Sister André of France, who was born on February 11, 1904, is the oldest living female and the oldest living person.

Juan, who enjoys spending time with his family, has excellent health and memory. He recalls his childhood and marriage, as well as the names of his siblings, children, and grandchildren.
