Episode 24 of the popular TV quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati, which is hosted by Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, was a memorable one for contestant Chhavi Kumar.

Kumar became the first contestant of the KBC 12 to reach a question for Rs 1 crore, however, she won Rs 5,000,000, which is till now the highest in this season. The question for Rs 1 crore of the show was: After which Greek goddess is the US space program to land the first woman and next man on the Moon by 2024 named?

Kumar, who had exhausted all her lifelines for answering the questions up to Rs 50 lakh in Thursday’s episode, decided to quit the show after she was unable to pick the right answer to the question asked by Bachchan. 

The correct answer to one crore question of the KBC season 12 was ‘Artemis.’ The program “will use innovative new technologies and systems to explore more of the Moon than ever before”, according to NASA.

However, after she decided to quit, BigB announced that the makers of the show, impressed by Kumar’s performance, have decided to give her daughter Vendantu a scholarship of Rs 5 lakh for her studies.
