Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix reportedly broke up after the latter found a series of texts sent by her boyfriend to co-star Raquel Leviss.

During his show at the City National Grove in Anaheim, California, on Friday, the Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras frontman made a passing comment.

“Have you ever been one of the most hated people in America?” the 39-year-old asked the audience, according to Us Weekly.

In a video shared on TikTok, one audience member could be heard screaming, “Ariana!” to which Sandoval responded, “We love her.”

According to TMZ sources, the messages and a video found by Ariana were “sexual in nature.” This led to a confrontation between the couple, following which the two ended their relationship.

Some sources told TMZ that Ariana confided in her friends about Tom and Raquel seeing each other secretly for months.

Ariana was spotted supporting Tom Wednesday night while he performed with his band. While people at the show believed that they didn’t know any trouble in paradise for the couple, a source close to Tom told TMZ that things had been difficult for quite some time between the two.

“This has been going on for upwards of 6 months — all the while, Tom was sleeping next to Ariana in bed,” one source told PEOPLE. “She was completely blindsided by this; devastated doesn’t even scratch the surface of how she feels.”

“This is someone she thought she knew; someone she planned to spend the rest of her life with. You can’t even put into words that betrayal,” the source added.

Tom and Ariana were rumored to be together since 2013 when she joined Vanderpump Rules as a full-time cast member.

A season 10 promo of Vanderpump Rules also suggested that Tom and Ariana were in an open relationship. However, Ariana later refuted the rumors writing on her Twitter: “We dont have an open relationship. i’m really not that cool. thought that was obvious. bisexual ≠ polyamorous.”
