Timothy Parlatore, former Donald Trump lawyer, on Saturday, alleged that Russian-American Republican strategist Boris Epshteyn attempted to interfere in the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case.
Parlatore slammed Trump on a Live CNN broadcast.
“In my opinion, he was not very honest with us or with the client on certain things. There were certain things like the searches that he had attempted to interfere with,” Parlatore said.

He added that Epshteyn made defending Trump more difficult.
Timothy Parlatore left Donald Trump’s legal team earlier this week. His departure, rumored for several weeks, was confirmed on Tuesday. It came as special counsel Jack Smith is reaching the end point in the classified documents case.
“It’s been an incredible honor to serve and work through interesting legal issues. My departure was a personal choice and does not reflect upon the case, as I believe strongly the (Justice Department) team is engaging in misconduct to pursue an investigation of conduct that is not criminal,” Parlatore said in a statement to CNN on Tuesday.

In the Saturday interview, he went on to criticise the former President’s legal team. He revealed the ‘real’ reason he left.
“It had nothing to do with the case itself or the client. The real reason is because there are certain individuals that made defending the president much harder than it needed to be. In particular, there is one individual who works for him, Boris Epshteyn, who had really done everything he could to try to block us – to prevent us from doing what we could to defend the president,” Parlatore said on CNN.
Trump’s spokesperson responded to Parlatore’s allegations.
“Mr. Parlatore is no longer a member of the legal team. His statements regarding current members of the legal team are unfounded and categorically false,” the spokesperson told CNN.
The former Trump lawyer was key in the Mar-a-Lago case. He also testified before a grand jury in December.
