Metal behemoths Slipknot are gearing up for the return of Knotfest Roadshow, which is slated to begin in spring 2022. The music festival was started by the band in 2012, and is set to return this year in a two-legged format that will take place across 38 locations in the US and Canada.
The first leg of the tour, which will see headlining band Slipknot accompanied by special guests Jinjer and In This Moment, will commence on March 16 at the FargoDome in Fargo, North Dakota, and will conclude on April 17 at Pepsi Live at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada.

After a month’s break, the second leg of the tour will begin, featuring special guest performers Cypress Hill and Ho99o9. The second leg will commence on May 18 at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Philadelphia, and the last performance of the tour will take place at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheater in Chula Vista, California, on June 18.

Commenting on the announcement of the tour, Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor said, “Even with everything going on in the world right now, we’re still extremely excited to come back out in the states.”
The 48-year-old vocalist had earlier tested positive for COVID-19 in the summer of 2021, and urged fans to get vaccinated in case they had not yet taken the COVID-19 shot. “This is the worst I’ve ever been sick in my life; had I not been vaccinated, I shudder to think how bad it would’ve been,” said Taylor.

“But, because I had that extra little bit of protection, it definitely helped me get through it. So go, go, go. If you’re still on the fence, I’m telling you right now, it’s the best thing you can do for yourself,” he added, urging fans to not skip vaccination.
The 2022 tour will see Slipknot perform their late-2021 release, ‘The Chapeltown Rag’, for the first time in front of a live audience, and the single is set to feature in their upcoming studio album later this year.
