“A big WIN,” Donald Trump predicted his victory in the US election on late Tuesday night (local time), writing on Twitter that he “will make a statement tonight.”
His announcement came moments after his Democrat challenger Joe Biden in a brief address asked his supporters to “have faith, we are gonna win this.” President Trump, in another tweet, said that the Republicans are “up Big” but the Democrats are trying to “steal” the election.
“We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the Election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed!” Trump wrote on Twitter.
The President’s tweet was shortly after that marked as “disputed” and “misleading about an election or other civic process.”
The former vice-president in his address earlier said, “Your patience is commendable, we knew this was going long… we feel good about where we are, we believe we are on track to win this election.”
