Nearly two weeks prior to American basketballer Kobe Bryant’s death anniversary, his wife Vanessa Bryant shared a video on social media, in which her late husband can be seen talking about the importance of happiness, love and marriage.
Vanessa, who also lost her daughter Gianna in the same accident, captioned her post on Instagram, “I LOVE YOU @kobebryant Miss you and Gigi so much,” accompanied with a heart emoji. The clip was a conversation between Kobe and former football player Lewis Howes.
“Happiness is such a beautiful journey,” Kobe said in the video.
“It has its ups and downs, whether it’s in marriage or whether it’s in a career. Things are never perfect, but through love, you continue to persevere, and you move through them, you move through them. And then through that storm, a beautiful sun emerges, and inevitably, another storm comes. And guess what? You ride that one out, too,” he continued.
“So, I think love is sort of a determination, a persistence to go through the good times and the bad times with someone or something that you truly love,” Kobe added.
Posted on January 8, the video has garnered over 3 million views along with around a million likes.
The 41-year-old NBA star died in a horrific helicopter crash northwest of Los Angeles on January 26, 2020, that also claimed the lives of his 13-year-old daughter and seven other people.
