Sahdev Sharan, a farmer and father of five daughters, is on cloud nine. His three daughters on Tuesday together cracked the Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) exam, joining their two other sisters who are already serving officers.

The three sisters — Anshu, Reetu and Suman — from Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh cleared the exam on Tuesday and immediately celebrations broke out in the village. Their father has studied up to Class 8 and mother Lakshmi has never been to school.

Sharing the sisters’ feat on Twitter, Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan congratulated the siblings. “Such good news. Anshu, Reetu and Suman are three sisters from Hanumangarh, Rajasthan. Today all three got selected in RAS together. Making father & family proud. They are five sisters. Other two Roma and Manju were already RAS. All five daughters of farmer Shri Sahdev Saharan are now RAS officers,” Kaswan tweeted.
In the final results declared by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Jhunjhunu’s Mukta Rao topped the exam while Tonk’s Manmohan Sharma and Jaipur’s Shivakshi Khandal came in second and third.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot congratulated the topper via Twitter. “Congratulations to Jhunjhunu’s Mukta Rao, who topped the RAS exam, Tonk’s Manmohan Sharma, Jaipur’s Shivakshi Khandal for securing 2nd & 3rd positions respectively & to all who have cleared the exam. It’s a great opportunity to serve the state with dedication. My best wishes to them,” he tweeted.

The results were published on the official website of RPSC. A total of 2,023 candidates have been recommended for appointment after they cleared their written test and interview.
