Kayleigh McEnany, who co-hosts “Outnumbered” on FOX News, has said US Vice President Kamala Harris had “lost the media” because of her “ineptitude.” McEnany, who served as the 33rd White House press secretary for the Donald Trump administration from April 2020 to January 2021, was referring to media reports that said Harris felt sidelined in her current role. “Harris, I just heard her say she doesn’t feel misused or underused, except we have more than three dozen sources,” McEnany said, citing a CNN report which said some members of President Joe Biden’s administration were miffed with the vice president over self-inflicted controversies such as her “awkward” laughter when asked about visiting the southern border of the United States in June.

“That’s nearly 40 people saying she feels misused or underused. So I think there is a little truth to the matter when you have that many sources, and she complains about media coverage and she’s being attacked,” McEnany said.
Without naming the CNN report, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki in a tweet this week called Harris a “bold leader” who has taken on “key, important challenges facing the country.”
In an interview with POLITICO, she further claimed that racism and sexism were at the heart of right wing criticism of Harris.

McEnany said it was precisely because of her identity that Harris had received “fawning coverage” by the media when she assumed office.

“New York Times, one hundred days of vice presidential style, Los Angeles Times created a beat for Kamala Harris called ‘Covering Kamala Harris,’ a ‘beat dedicated to her historic rise to the White House,” McEnany said.
Harris had since “lost” the media because of her “job performance,”McEnany said, claiming the “border is on fire.”
