The British Academy of Film and Television Arts is scheduled to air on April 10 and 11 in a two-day event. This year the ceremony will be held virtually due to COVID-19. 

BAFTA announced its hosts for the virtual starry night on March 24, 2021, in a press release. This year X-Factor host Dermot O’Leary, famous RJ and TV presenter Edith Bowman and dynamic broadcaster Clara Amfo have been chosen as the hosts for BAFTA 2021. 

The two-day show will kick off with Clara Amfo hosting the EE BAFTA Film Awards Opening Night which will air on April 10, Saturday. Amfo is expected to be joined by a panel of guests which is yet to announced.

Viewers of the award show will get a unique peek into the scenes behind the camera and experience the creative processes of filmmaking and acting, according to the BAFTA press release. Eight BAFTA winners are scheduled to be announced on the first night. 

The only award being presented in person this year is the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema award. The winner will be present at the Royal Albert Hall, London. 

Official EE presenter Clara Amfo on April 11 will be interviewing other BAFTA presenters from the Royal Albert Hall. Clara will later connect with all award winners virtually to get their “Winner Reactions”.

Former BAFTA hosts Dermot O’Leary and Edith Bowman who have hosted various BAFTA red carpets will be making a come back this year too. The duo will be hosting the second night, April 11.

They will be accompanied by a small group of presenters at the Albert Hall. Some presenters will be joining from Los Angeles. 17 awards are scheduled to be announced on the second night. 

The audience and nominees will be joining the ceremony virtually, the press release said.
