Late NBA legend Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa Bryant took to Instagram on Sunday to post a picture and a video montage with Kobe honouring what would have been their 20th wedding anniversary together. 

Kobe,41 and their daughter Gianna, 13 died in a helicopter crash in January 2020. Vanessa is now survived by their three other daughters- Capri, Bianka and Natalie. 

She captioned the picture: “Happy Anniversary, baby. I love you. 20 years. ❤️”

Kobe and Vanessa met on the set of a music video back in 1999 when Kobe was 21 and Vanessa, 17.

She also posted a video montage of the two together and wrote, “I love you for now, forever and for always @kobebryant ❤️❤️”

The couple got married in 2001 at the St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church in California after being together for six months. The video includes a snippet of Kobe talking about Vannessa in an interview. He says, “My wife Vanessa, it’s fun. We have a good time together. I love her tremendously but we’re best friends too. It’s a blessing.”

Many of Vanessa’s friends from the industry posted supportive pictures and messages on Instagram. Some sent her large bouquets of roses celebrating the day. 

Vanessa had filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences in 2011 when the couple went through a rough patch. But later announced they were working through their problems.
