Former US President Donald Trump said Americans have never withdrawn from a war so badly or incompetently as was done in the case of Afghanistan. He was referring to the fact that The United States on Monday pulled out its military troop ending the longest war in the history of States.
“Never in history has a withdrawal from war been handled so
badly or incompetently as the Biden administration’s withdrawal from
Afghanistan,” PTI quoted Trump as saying as the longest American war with terrorism came to an end, with the
Taliban regaining power in Afghanistan.

The Taliban lost control of the war-torn country after the United States invaded the territory and placed the American army in the region weeks after the deadly September 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Centre.
Trump further added that the US must demand all the equipment and money that has been invested in Afghanistan over the years.
“In addition to the obvious, ALL EQUIPMENT should be
demanded to be immediately returned to the United States, and that includes
every penny of the USD 85 billion dollars in cost,” Trump said.
The former president also called for military retaliation of the US investment doesn’t come back.

“If it is not handed back, we should either go in with
unequivocal military force and get it or at least bomb the hell out of it.
Nobody ever thought such stupidity, as this feeble-brained withdrawal, was
possible!” he added.
Trump’s successor and now US President Joe Biden had retained Special
Representative for Afghan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad to carry out the last
mile negotiations with the Taliban.
The last plane carrying Americans left from war-torn Afghanistan on Monday ending a stretched evacuation effort and concluding the two-decade-long war, confirmed US Department of Defense.
Many opposition leaders including Republican Congressman Lee Zeldin, a member of the House
Foreign Affairs Committee and United States Army veteran, condemned US withdrawal leaving many Americans, desperate to get out and USD 85 billion in US weapons and equipment, which is now with the Taliban behind.
“This is a historic disgrace of epic proportions ordered by
President Biden,” he said
