Makers of Wonder Woman ’84, which is ready to hit the theaters on December 25 after multiple postponements and pushbacks, have released a 3 and a half minute video clip of the movie’s opening scene, on Monday, to pep up the fans.

In the video, a young Diana can be seen in Themyscira competing with her much older competitors in a stadium in various games. In the background, Gal Gadot talks about Diana’s lessons from her youth.

“Some days my childhood feels so far away, And others, I can almost see it.” narrates Diana (Gal Gadot) as her younger self as she hastens over ridges and runs across green fields to join this grand sports event.

In the breathtaking view, the audience sees young Diana running in the competition with a javelin in her hand with the flashes of older Diana running through the streets of Washington DC in a maneuver to save the world.

“The whole world felt like a promise. and the lessons that lay ahead, yet unseen.” the scene narrates.

Ever since the clip release, the reviews have been pouring in from all around the world and while some are absolutely loving the cinematic experience others are putting forward ‘Constructive Criticism’.

I’m so happy to report that #WW84 is an absolute blast from start to finish. An exceptional compliment to the first film, it’s stuffed w/ heart, hope, love, action, romance & humor. @PattyJenks, @GalGadot & team delivered one of DC’s best sequels. As far as critics are concerned, the movie has so far managed to garner mixed reactions.

In the words of Vox’s Alex Abad-Santos- “Superhero movies are supposed to be big, expensive, loud, and fun. And WW1984 is stuffed to its cinematic seams, sometimes to its detriment.”

BBC’s Nicholas Barber on the other hand calls it ‘One of the most enjoyable blockbusters to be released since 1984 in its own old fashioned and uncynical way.’

Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman ’84, which is a highly anticipated follow-up to the 2017 DC superhero blockbuster, currently holds an IMBD Rating at 7.7/10.

WW1984 will be available to watch on selected theaters and HBO Max.
