President-elect Joe Biden and incoming first lady Jill Biden will receive the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine on Monday in Delaware, transition spokeswoman Jen Psaki said.
According to a CNN report, the transition team did not have details on where exactly the vaccination would take place.
“On Monday, President-elect Joe Biden and Dr Jill Biden will receive the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine in Delaware, and they’ll also thank health care workers at the facility,” Psaki said.
“He will be doing it in public, which is important to us, as he’s stated many times, to send a clear message to the public that it’s safe,” she added.
Psaki also revealed that Vice President-elect Kamala Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, would receive their vaccinations a week after the President-elect.
