On Thursday, Salman Khan posted a picture of himself on social media, thanking his fans for their support during his trials. The message came from the actor after he was acquitted by the Jodhpur District and Sessions Court for filing the wrong affidavit in 2003 about the loss of his gun’s license.

The state government had made a plea that the 55-year-old actor should be tried for filing a fake affidavit, stating that his gun license was lost when instead, it was up for renewal. However, the sessions court gave him relief in that case.

His lawyer had argued that Khan had forgotten that his license was up for renewal because of his busy schedule and thus, ‘mistakenly’ filed the wrong affidavit.

In 1998, during the shooting of ‘Hum Sath Sath Hai’, Salman Khan had allegedly killed two blackbucks in Rajasthan. A case was filed against him under the ‘Arms Act’ for which he was required to show his gun license that he had failed to do at that time.

The verdict on the original case is yet to come out. In the last hearing on the killing of Blackbucks, which was scheduled in February 2021, the actor skipped the trial that he was supposed to attend virtually. The next hearing has been scheduled for February 24.
