Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal, who married Katrina Kaif in December 2021 after secretly dating for close to 2 years, has spoken about his wife for the first time, calling her a “great influence” on his life. 

“Katrina is a great influence in every aspect of my life. I’m very fortunate to have found a life partner in her because she’s an extremely wise, intelligent and compassionate person. I learn a lot from her every single day,” the ‘Uri’ actor said in an interview with Hello magazine. 

Speaking about the two years of the coronavirus pandemic, he added, “There are a lot of blessings I could count for myself in these two terrible years. On the personal front, of course, there was my marriage and knowing my family was safe and sound. On the professional front, I’m thankful for when shoots restarted.”

The couple tied the knot in December 2021 in a private ceremony in Rajasthan, which was attended by their family members and close friends, including actors Neha Dhupia and director Kabir Khan. 

The two kept their relationship a secret for two years but have often shared pictures with each other since they got married. 

“Only love and gratitude in our hearts for everything that brought us to this moment. Seeking all your love and blessings as we begin this new journey together (sic),” the couple wrote on Instagram, while sharing gorgeous pictures from their wedding. 

On the work front, Vicky has several movies in his pipeline, including Sam Bahadur, Govinda Naam Mera and The Immortal Ashwatthama.

Katrina, on the other hand, is currently shooting for Merry Christmas with Vijay Sethupathi. She also has Tiger 3 opposite Salman Khan and Jee Le Zaraa alongside Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt.
