Rahul Dravid’s fans have gone bonkers over his never-seen-before “angry” avatar in a new ad, which showed the Indian batting legend yelling at people in a furious bout of road rage. The ad ends with him screaming “Indiranagar ka gunda hun main” at the top of his voice. Soon after the ad was released on Friday, Dravid became the top-ranked topic on Twitter with “Indiranagar Ka Gunda” memes taking the social media platform by storm. Indiranagar is a locality in the city of Bengaluru.
Now, Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone, who has been sharing interesting content on her Instagram handle, has called herself “Indiranagar Ki Gundi’. The actor shared a cute childhood picture along with the caption, “Indiranagar Ki Gundi hoon main!” The photo was clicked by Deepika’s mother Ujjala Padukone.
Meanwhile, several cricketers were bowled over by Dravid avatar and took to Twitter to share the ad.
“Never seen this side of Rahul bhai,” Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli wrote.
“Everyone loses their cool in Bengaluru traffic! Even The Wall. Rahul sir, I empathise with you,” Washington Sundar wrote.
